Delano Las Vegas
Towering above the Strip to the tune of 43 floors, the Delano Las Vegas is a relatively new addition to the Mandalay Bay Resort complex, having opened its doors in 2014. But for all its relative newness it hasn’t missed a beat. Offering Vegas guests a taste of the original Delano’s South Beach flavour, tempered with desert accents which are pure Nevada, it’s a luxurious, style conscious choice for staying in Sin City. And, as an added bonus, it has its own 14,000-square-foot spa and a decadent beach area.
The rooms, meanwhile, are all suites featuring oversized headboards, Malin + Goetz products in the luxe marble bathrooms, huge windows, and decorated in a cool, calm colour palette of white and gold. In fact, gold is something of a recurring theme throughout the Delano Las Vegas; the hotel’s entire exterior glimmers gold in the desert sunshine.
In addition to the numerous bars and restaurants offering everything from seasonal, locally inspired dishes at Della’s Kitchen to mouthwatering cuisine from Chef Alain Ducasse at RIVEA Las Vegas, the Delano Las Vegas also has its own Bond-tastically named bar; the Skyfall Lounge. You’ve got to wonder how many jokers will be asking for a “shaken, not stirred” martini during this stylish cocktail joint’s tenure; even with master mixologists Proprietors LLC behind the bar.
