Hg2 : The Hedonist

Diwan Sultan Ibrahim

One the best seafood and Lebanese restaurants in Beirut, Diwan is a laid-back spot tucked away from the main drag, and a great pit-stop if you’ve been walking the streets. Go for fish fresh from the Med, notably sea bass, mallifa, red mullet and bizri (deep-fried small sardines, a local speciality) as well as traditional Lebanese grilled dishes and mezze.

Housed in a relatively new building, Diwan’s design is rather formal and straightforward, but the service is strong and there are tables outside. Well-priced fresh fish in central Beirut and well worth a visit.
