Downtown Los Angeles
Though it’s been overshadowed by its surroundings over the years, the Downtown area of Los Angeles has much to offer: museums, restaurants, and the main branch of the public library. And a terrific way to explore the area would be to stop in at Union Station, the city’s 1939 wonder that has been used in countless movies and videos. Then wander over to Olvera Street, the oldest part of the city and a taste of old Mexico (not to mention touristy LA). From there you could explore Little Tokyo or Chinatown, or perhaps catch a tour of old movie houses that line Broadway or grab a bite at the downtown Farmers’ Market.
