So much of EAST, Miami is window that the sight of Miami – all glossy white high-rises, swaying palms, and bright blue sky – is as much a part of the decor as the contemporary furnishings. In fact, the views from many parts of the hotel are a panorama of Biscayne Bay and the surrounding Brickell skyline. Speaking of Brickell, a stay here puts you in easy distance of everything from luxury boutiques to movie theatres, with Downtown and Miami Beach just a quick jaunt over the water away.

But with so much here, it’s easy to stay put. EAST, Miami has a swimming pool, with a poolside bar and lounge, and the destination rooftop bar, Sugar, which serves Asian-inspired food and cocktails in a nod to EAST, Miami’s Chinese and Hong Kong roots. There’s also Quinto La Huella, a Uruguayan restaurant with its own impressive wood fire parrilla and sushi counter. And for those with fitness or business on the brain, there’s a 24-hour gym and meeting rooms.

The rooms, meanwhile, all have balconies and impressive square footage, in addition to interiors by Clodagh Design, which are all about clean lines and light, natural colours; the better to play off all that bright Miami light streaming through the windows. High-tech amenities abound and, in the bathrooms, for added decadence, there are rain showers and Appelles bath products. With all that in gentle strolling distance, you’d be forgiven for never stepping foot outside the doors.
