This is not one of the most intimate bars in Bogotá – there are large plasmas showing the latest sports games and never-ending tables, but El Salto del Angel still manages to create a warm and friendly atmosphere. As something of a boys’ watering hole, drinkers can expect a smoky barbeque aroma and red-chequered tablecloths. The menu is made up of mostly comfort food, and although steaks and fish are available, the most popular dishes are man-friendly buffalo wings and burritos. There’s a cover charge at the door, but this doesn’t deter the big groups of friends who order rounds of beers and dance around the tables.
