Situated in the former Moscow State University of Design and Technology, this industrial building, on the south bank of the Moscow River, holds 1,500 people.
Its location makes it a good alternative to First, if you don’t pass the face control – here everything is more relaxed, hosting a fun crowd with a happy vibe. Fabrique has a reputation for playing the best house music in Moscow; the programme is varied (to keep the Russians interested) and features many high-quality resident Russian DJs such as Lavsky, Spaunov and Grigory, as well as big international names (including Roger Sanchez and Felix da Housecat).
Spread over two floors, the club is divided by a transparent glass floor – upstairs is more of a chill-out zone with sofas and curtained-off restaurant booths and a catwalk floor. Further on, down the redpadded staircase to a semi-circular dance-floor, are podiums where scantily clad women gyrate and a stage from where the DJ spins his decks.
