You know, as you reach the entrance of Fasching, that this is going to be everything you want a jazz club to be. It’s legendary in Stockholm. Here it’s all about appreciation of the music, with regular jam sessions and concerts and something happening every night of the week. Call before you go or check the website to confirm that what you want is what you’re going to get, as with an eclectic music policy featuring everything from funk to Latin to soul jazz, it would be a travesty not to enjoy Fasching as much as you could. There are regular concerts from visiting artists, plus a series of club nights. Every Saturday is Club Soul, a 13-year institution. Club Rockers, a newer venture, fuses everything from 1950s rock and R’n’B with 1970s reggae. There’s also Club Mambo, which normally takes place on a Friday and focuses on Latin music, and Cuba Nocturna, a salsa club.
