Fillmore Miami Beach
The former Miami Beach Municipal Auditorium became known in the 1950s as a platform for vaudeville acts, comedy and, sometimes, boxing. The stage matured through several reinventions (including one overseen by noted local architect Morris Lapidus), culminating in its reincarnation as the Fillmore Miami Beach in 2007. The room holds 2,700 patrons who come for name-brand live entertainment; Margaret Cho, Flogging Molly and Miami’s Kirova Ballet production of The Nutcracker are typical headliners.
