Forno Campo de’ Fiori
Forno Campo de’ Fiori is one of the beloved bakeries in Rome. Follow your nose to ‘the Forno’ in the corner of the market square to snack on their inimitable signature pizza rossa – a very thin slice of pizza base slathered with a layer of fresh tomato puree and olive oil. Equally popular is the pizza bianca, which is pizza bread with salt and olive oil, to be eaten out of its brown paper wrapping, under the statue of the ill-fated philosopher, Giordano Bruno, possibly to the accompaniment of a tanned young Lothario strumming on his guitar. Viva Roma.
