Designed by architects Foster + Partners, the 42-level tower of Frasier Suites is one of the few truly luxurious, five-star serviced apartment hotels in Sydney. And it enjoys sweeping views over the city, the harbour and western Sydney. There are 201 luxurious studios, one- and two-bedroom suites, and two plush duplex penthouses, and all manage to avoid that soulless atmosphere plaguing so many business hotels in Sydney, with plump beds, flatscreen televisions and stylish décor in hues of gunmetal grey. Bonus points as it’s one of the few hotels with windows that actually open. Those in the city for a longer stay will appreciate hidden washer/dryers and the stainless steel Schlott Seran kitchens, but take advantage of the location – along with Tetsuya’s just across the road, the city’s department stores and Chinatown eateries (we recommend Golden Century, see Restaurants) are only a leisurely stroll away. To burn off those pork buns, there’s a well-equipped gymnasium, a spa and sauna, and a 20-metre indoor pool, cantilevered over Regent Place shopping precinct.
