F12 stands out for both its food and its appearance. It’s one of the most fashionable restaurants in the city, yet also one of the few to have been awarded a Michelin star; Fredsgatan 12 (it takes its name from its address) is a sibling to Kungsholmen and Le Rouge (Restaurants).
The dining room’s tasting menu classes dishes as either traditional or innovative. For instance, on the traditional side you might find reindeer with juniper berries and pearl onions while the innovative menu offers sirloin steak with plums and dehydrated wine vinegar.
This is the sort of place where you’ll see sharply dressed executives abusing their company credit cards to take clients to lunch. There’s also an equally stylish lounge-bar with a separate menu. All summer long, the steps outside the restaurant function as hopping outdoor bar, F12 Terrassen (see Clubs).
