Decked out by starchitect India Mahdavi, the showstopping space is spread across three floors of cool; a casual café on the ground floor and dedicated VIP lounging areas on the first and second floors. Linking them is an oversized yellow sculpture of a woman named Sophie by Xavier Velihan, which stands on ground level but bursts through the ceiling to emerge victorious on the upper levels. Owned by the Costes brothers – who also own hotels in the city – the space is a flamboyant homage to the 80s, with even the music harking back to the era that taste forgot.
