One of the hottest spots in town, Gogol attracts a cosmopolitan, luxury-loving crowd. On the ground floor is an outdoor terrace and lounge bar area, with a restaurant and karaoke on the first floor, nightclub on the second and private VIP karaoke and billiards rooms in the basement; all boasting beautiful and sophisticated décor. The extensive food menu caters to all tastes and runs the whole gamut from burgers and create-your-own pizzas to Wagyu beef and lobster, with a business lunch on weekdays and a family-friendly Sunday Brunch buffet (both from noon-3pm). But the main attraction here is the nightclub, which is open every day but packs out on weekends when a table will set you back at least 40,000 KZT. Entry is free and you can expect commercial, house and dance music as well as the occasional live artist performance and themed party. With its reputation as one of Almaty’s most exclusive venues, it’s inevitable that Gogol enforces strict face control – so dress accordingly.
