Golden Gate Park Skating & Biking
While skaters and bicyclists love the park every day, the roads are all yours for Golden Gate Park Skating and Biking on Sundays, one of the best things to do in San Francisco, when John F. Kennedy Drive between Kezar Drive and Transverse Road is closed to traffic. Spanning over 1,000 acres, from the Pacific Ocean to the Haight-Ashbury, and including miles of paved trails, it’s heaven for the wheeled masses. Rent your gear at Skates on Haight, just a block from the park, then roll on up to the Conservatory of Flowers. Just after it, on the right, is a smooth-surfaced skate pad where skaters gather to bust their moves.
