A drink in Grizzly’s Bar is one of the most memorable places to drink in Tignes, to say the least, and not just because the prices are unforgettably high. Imagine a replica trappers’ hut in the mountains decorated with animal skins and lifesize carvings of bear cubs – it wouldn’t seem out of place in a Canadian forest. Log fires inside and out only add to the authentic mountain vibe. Then throw in a shop selling clothes, shoes and assorted nick-knacks, and you’ve pretty much got a picture of what Grizzly’s is like. It’s popular during apres-ski time to sit on the handcrafted wooden benches on the terrace around the large open fire; if it gets cold you can move inside and warm up beside the fire.
