Previously known as Köket, Hell’s Kitchen can be found in the basement of Sturecompagniet. As a result of its central location, just off Stureplan, it’s one of the places where you’re most likely to find yourself surrounded by other international visitors to the city (these visitors have in the past included P. Diddy and Timbaland, not to mention Swedish soccer star Freddie Ljungberg). The concept for the club is said to draw on everything from 19th-century Tokyo to ancient Rome and modern day L.A. In other words, it’s a bit pretentious – but in a fun sort of way. You’ll find yourself surrounded by a typical Östermalm crowd, which you’ll either enjoy or find exasperating, as they tend to be highly fashionable, often attractive, and just a little bit in love with themselves.
