Hemingway Bar
Trading on the now rather cliched image of Hemingway as the eternal alcoholic, Prague’s eponymous bar seeks to honour the timeless penmaster by specialising in his (purportedly) three favourite tipples: absinthe, rum and Champagne. Admittedly, the Hemingway Bar does stock an amazing choice of these, with over two hundred varieties of rum on offer (and the Prague’s only rum club), absinthe served in the traditional way and a decent selection of Champagnes and other bubbly. All of this is served with class, albeit perhaps the bartenders (like most in Prague) can be a bit gruff; but the surrounds of the Hemingway Bar would likely have appealed to the writer himself. Speakeasy-style quilted oxblood sofas and chairs, deep rich woods and a dizzying collection of bottles lining the walls behind the bar.rn
