Imperia G Hotel
A block down from the Ramada Plaza you’ll find the Imperia G, built in 2008, which promises ‘maximum privileges’ to its guests. Certainly, there are several reasons to recommend the hotel, including 76 smart (albeit slightly glitzy) rooms with nice modern bathrooms and free mini-bar and WiFi, all for a very respectable price. Past the jazzy fountain and chandelier combo in the lobby the staff is pleasant and helpful but doesn’t always speak great English. There’s a lobby bar and the Shogun restaurant overlooking the street has an extensive menu, but our pick for refreshments is the on-site Tako bar. From here you can order reasonably-priced pizza and sushi that will be delivered to your room for free – you may be feeling peckish after breakfast, which is a little basic. The gym is small and could do with a bit of a facelift, but the changing areas and inevitable sauna are rather nice.
