Jermyn Street
For the well-off lady and gent with a care for their appearance, Jermyn Street is a glorious walkway of classic establishments. Dunhill is a British stalwart with an in-store barber, selling made-to-measure shirts and suits, iconic lighters and all sorts of other accoutrements to make ladies swoon. On the flip side, Emma Willis, one of the few female shirt-makers, renowned for her craftsmanship and fabrics, stocks a huge variety of smart wear for the businesswoman to find her perfect fit. For the bussinessman is Turnbull & Asser, sharp shirts cut from a choice of 400 fabrics – good enough, apparently, for Prince Charles, Al Pacino and James Bond. Everything a gentleman would need for grooming: badger shaving brushes, cut-throat razors, colognes, can be found at Taylors, and just up the road sits Trickers, traditional British footwear still handmade by the Tricker family in Northampton.
