Jonathan’s Angels
Jonathan’s Angels is one of the places to drink in Rome which has almost been raised to the level of a cult. Almost as historical as some of tourist attractions nearby, this tucked away eclectic bar is famous for its playful kitsch, over-the-top decorations, the eccentric owner and the heavily decorated, shrine-like restrooms, accessible through a pleasure garden. Sit on plastic chairs and listen to live piano acts, but more than anything, be prepared to enter a chaotic world of walls plastered in stickers, posters, photos and notes, where nothing makes sense, yet harmonizes in a veritable unique address on the city’s night scene.
