Daniel and Charlotte Leuthold started Juice Market, a stylish little café on cobbled Augustinergasse, as a juice bar in 1994; offering an oasis of health to Zürchers loaded up on traditional veal’n’cream fare. Mission creep saw the juice remit expand to the current menu of tempting options; baked potatoes with an array of toppings, seasonal salads, soups and sandwiches.
But the healthy agenda isn’t rammed down your throat; a delicious array of cakes and glass of prosecco are on hand if falafel just won’t hit the spot. The juice menu remains extensive, with pretty much every permutation on offer.
A recent refurbishment reflects the antiquity of Juice Market’s Lindenhof location, with an original wood ceiling, exposed brickwork and large windows so you can take in the pretty painted houses nearby, but brought it bang up to date with a smooth cream bar and chic white metal seats.
