Kala Ghoda Café
This is a truly great café. From the handy bicycle locks outside to the free WiFi (except, weirdly, between 12.30 and 15.30), the power sockets on the table, the great art district location to the coffees and wholegrain breads on offer. This is the place to come and get sane when the city gets too much. Oh, it’s also a great place to indulge in a tasty, crisp salad without the shadow of doubt about picking up a Bombay belly.
Conde Nast Traveller (UK), Monocle and others have all recommended this café in their city round-ups, so you don’t just have to take our word for it. There’s always some art on display too, which is a good talking point and the coffees are sourced directly from plantations which engage in sustainable practices. Especially good for breakfast (organic granola, apple, beetroot and carrot juices, plenty of waffle selections). Get here early as it’s a tiny space that fills up fast.
