Karma/Borgo del Tempo Perso
With a capacity of 10,000, this qualifies as the nightclub of nightclubs in Milan. In fact, it’s two clubs – Karma and Borgo – side-by-side at the end of a dust track way south in Milan.
rnKarma is a privé club (accessible by table and restaurant reservations), while Borgo is for the people. Arriving is like boarding an aeroplane: VIPs turn left for Karma, cattle class turn right. But actually each is sufficiently decadent, both with vast open terraces, making this one (or two) of the biggest summer clubs in Milan – and still popular in the winter.
rnKarma’s outdoor space is oriental-inspired with a plush red baroque interior, and even a super-privé (Karma Diamond); Borgo is like a traditional Sardinian village outside, with an eclectic and extravagant interior; music is commercial house, hip-hop and disco throughout. Karma guests can access all areas – something of a poisoned chalice since there’s a lot of scope for getting perso (appropriately, ‘Borgo del Tempo Perso’ translates as ‘Place of Lost Time’).
