La Dame de Pic
The menu at La Dame de Pic is a lovely dance between British and French ingredients, with some Scottish langoustines here, some Brittany abalone there. And the dishes themselves are elegant and delicately plated, as if the ingredients floated down and landed on the plates as if on their accord.
For a taste of La Dame de Pic at its finest, start with the rightly lauded Berlingots. These little pasta pyramids are filled with lightly smoked Pélardon cheese and seasonal wild mushrooms, and given a vanilla-scented hit from the Tonka bean and some spice from the Voatsiperifery pepper foam. Moving on, you could up the luxe ante with the Wild Sea Bass, which comes with Daurenki Tsar Imperial Caviar and Champagne sauce. Or try the mouthwatering Hereford beef, roasted with Monts Amaro coffee and cinnamon leaves, and served alongside celeriac in brown butter with gin and sobacha.
Of course, there’s a tasting menu if you want to give yourself over to the talents of the chef. And with Anne-Sophie Pic at the helm you couldn’t be in better hands. A three Michelin-starred chef with an ever-growing stable of fine French restaurants, Pic is a force to be reckoned with. The luxurious surrounds of the Four Seasons Hotel London at Ten Trinity Square, all gleaming mirrors and high columns, suit the fine French chef and her superlative cuisine right down to the ground. Don’t let the ‘smart-casual’ dress code or the fact that the waiters wear tan leather aprons at La Dame de Pic fool you; the is French fine dining at its best.
