Just outside the main tourist area, this is yet another example of the cheesier end of Prague nightlife. Located on a small, pretty square just along from the KU Café (Drink) and Café Café (Snack), La Fabrique invites you to descend into the bowels of the city, whereupon you will find, on the first floor, a thriving bar and restaurant area.

One more level down, you’ll hit a bar and dance-floor, which seems to be nearly always packed with ex-pats, young Czech secretaries and students in search of one another. There’s usually a local house or R’n’B jock presenting a mix of dance and pop tunes. If the heat starts to go to your head, clamber back upstairs where it’s more relaxed – and there’s a quicker bar service.

Raucous La Fabrique is not for the faint-hearted, but if you want a fun night out and an opportunity to meet some of the locals, then this could be the best place.
