La Maison lurks down a tiny, atmospheric vicolo in between Piazza Navona and Via del Governo Vecchio. But once you get close you’ll know you’ve arrived as there’s always a scrum at the door. This makes for a fairly contrary door policy, so dress up, act confidently and look like you’re going to spend some money. That said, if you’re a woman under 35, you won’t have any problems at all. Once inside the door, get ready to play – two neo-baroque rooms are at your pleasure, bedecked in velvet and dripping with chandeliers. Gilded mirrors afford practised posing to accommodate those Italian egos, and let you see when you’ve had one too many and your head’s about to fall off (drinks are very strong). When the best party is on a Sunday night, you know the kind of decadent crowd to expect, and Flavia Lazzarini’s Glamnight is the most à la mode, lightly transgressive house party in town. Go shake your tail feather.
