Hg2 : The Hedonist

Le Ciel de Paris

You are in 1970s heaven here – quite literally, in Europe’s highest restaurant, on the 56th floor of the Tour Maine, which you reach by lift in an ear-popping 38 seconds. The starry ceiling melts into the night sky, while the mirrored walls reflect the bright lights of the big city. Gleaming chrome and shiny black cup chairs posed on tan-leather padded balconies separate the restaurant from the piano bar, where you half expect ‘Ol’ Blue Eyes’ himself to appear. Chef Jean-François Oyon delivers excellent international food with French touches (cod with béarnaise sauce and Chinese peppers, fillet of beef with a truffle sauce), making it a popular choice for Parisians looking to impress foreign guests. Breakfast with a view provides the perfect opportunity for you to plan out your sightseeing schedule on the 3D map of Paris below. Set menus at lunch and dinner make the prices a little more friendly. Booking is recommended if you want a window seat for dinner – but if you really want to fit in, remember to bring your shoulder-pads and sequins.
