Le Jaillet
Everyone has to venture off-piste somewhere for the first time, and Je Jaillet, one of the ski runs in Megève, is as good a place as any.
An easy, north-facing route that’s accessed from the Christomet chair, Je Jaillet offers around 600-metres of skiing from 1,850-metres. It’s not half as risky as Mont d’Arbois or Mont Jolly as it’s far less steep, which means it’s the perfect place for amateurs to get up to speed. Although not far from Megève, getting there requires a reasonable amount of lift-riding; for that reason it is seldom crowded, either on- or off-piste. Don’t rush down, either; some of the best views of Mont Blanc can be enjoyed on the way.
