Le Manoir Hotel

Hotel Manoir’s 18th-century décor is very much incongruous with the rest of the hotels in Bogota, and yet the haphazard mesh of faded velvet stools and rich woods is irresistibly charming. Huge oil paintings hang in the corridors, candelabras cast shadowy lighting, and gilt mirrors hide behind draped curtains. The foyer lounges are gorgeously cluttered, and the music your parents love replaces the usual mediocre hotel jazz. The rooms strike the perfect balance between homey and luxurious, with a large sofa and various smaller tables in each bedroom. The bathrooms are also large and, if you’re lucky, suite doors open onto a spacious terrace and a view that singlehandedly makes Hotel Manoir a worthwhile visit. The hotel provides 24-hour room service, a gym and a Turkish bath; but although the staff is extremely gracious, the ambience is not child-friendly.
