Le Patio is one of the restaurants in Prague which acts as a haven of tranquility in the midst of the hustle and bustle of busy Národní. Inside the double doors lies something resembling a magical-realist fantasy: with high-ceilings the room is bedecked with Arab lanterns, a ship’s bow, eye-catching furnishings imported from afar.
If you hadn’t thought of travelling somewhere distant and exotic before entering, you may well do once inside. Chilled ambient/world music distracts you further from the trams rumbling past outside and the menu provides French and oriental dishes with an emphasis on healthy salads and couscous dishes.
It’s just right for a break from shopping; then again, the large shop out the back stocks a fantastic range of imported furniture and knick-knacks, so it’s also good for shopping too.
