Le Terroir Parisien
Taking the same care and attention to meticulous detail as he exhibited in his Michelin-starred work at Le Meurice, Chef Yannick Alleno scoured the French countryside to find the best producers and products for his newest venture, Le Terroir Parisien. Opened in 2012 in the 5th Arrondissement, a gentle stroll from the hallowed halls of the Sorbonne, Le Terroir Parisien’s moreish menu and chic, bistro setting proved a popular combination, leading the chef to open another outpost at the Palais Brongniart a year later.
As hinted by the name, Le Terroir Parisien is all about reviving Parisian classics, using the best possible local ingredients. Here, you can sample French onion soup (served creatively deconstructed), croque monsieur, sweet peppers with vinaigrette, frisee salads with lardons and a perfectly poached egg, jambon persillé; the list goes on. Just take a look at the blackboard menu, make your choice, and prepare for exquisite bistro fare. And remember to save room for a cheese course; trust us. For those dining alone or in a couple, the bar is a great place to perch and people watch as you tuck in.
