Hg2 : The Hedonist

Lo Scopettaro

Lo Scopettaro is different from many of the other places to eat in Rome – there’s no menu. Instead, for around 35-40 euros, depending on the whim of the owner, you get a full run-through of Roman food, starting with pasta and bean soup and cold meats and running through three different types of pasta and three different meat dishes. Just when it’s not possible to eat more, three desserts arrive, and three digestivi – amaro, limoncello and grappa. The wandering guitarist who often visits Lo Scopettaro is always entertaining.
