Hg2 : The Hedonist

Lord’s Cricket Ground

The English cricket scene has recently found its mojo again thanks to its promising, Ashes-winning national team, the frequent display of streakers, and the new, more entertaining one-day Twenty20
games (essentially speed cricket). Lord’s is ‘the home of cricket’ and also to both Marylebone and Middlesex cricket clubs, and remains the guardian of the Laws of Cricket. Matches are now sell-out events – the easiest tickets to get are for the last day of test matches, since these are not sold in advance. Book well ahead and then pack a picnic, some Pimms and a bat and ball – at the end of play, there’s usually a pitch walk-on, where fans have a knock-up on the hallowed ground.
