Hg2 : The Hedonist

Walking through the doors of Lucien, one is immediately transported back to imperial Russia at the end of the 19th century, with beautiful interior design directly inspired from the Peterhof Palace in St Petersburg and featuring replicas of the original palace chandeliers, original paintings and a bespoke staircase to the second floor.

The menu is quintessentially Russian, with food so delicious it would be enough to make any tsar’s tastebuds tingle, whether it is their signature Olivie salad, a classic dish of pelmeni or a samovar of fresh tea to accompany your khvorost and homemade jam.

This is also the ideal place for expats on a Sunday evening to wind down on the weekend, and enjoy the stand up comedy shows that Lucien have planned featuring “expats for expats.”

Located on Prospekt Mira, Lucien’s clientele is a mix of regular Muscovites, for whom it is conveniently located, but it is also a hot spot for tourists, so be sure to call ahead to avoid disappointment.
