Mälarpaviljongen sits right on the edge of Kungsholmen, just a short walk from Stadshuset (City Hall). It’s one of the best outdoor café-bars in town and when the weather is right you can come here at almost any time of the day and enjoy it, whether you want a mid-morning snack, lunch, dinner or a late drink.
Most of the tables are outside though there is one covered room, a gazebo poking out over the water, where you can shelter in case of a sudden rain shower. In 2007 a glamorous floating deck was added, on which you can have dinner or drinks and feel as if you’re on a yacht. The clientele is thoroughly mixed by day and then gets gayer as it gets later. Its only drawback is its enormous popularity. The better the weather, the harder it can be to find a table.
