Massey Hall
A Toronto icon often referred to as ‘The Cathedral’, the 2,753-seat venue has stained-glass windows, polished railings and black-and-red Art Deco furnishings. The greatest voices have sung here, including Aretha Franklin, Joni Mitchell and Ray Charles; and Bob Dylan chose this venue to make his controversial leap from folk to rock.
As well as hosting jazz, blues and rock ‘n’ roll bands, comedians that have trod these boards include Robin Williams, Chris Rock and Jerry Seinfeld.
