The Matisse Gallery is one of the contemporary art galleries in Marrakech dedicated to showcasing both old and modern Moroccan artists. It is owned and carefully maintained by Youssef Falaky and Youssef Nabil Moroccan (both artists themselves) who have exclusive management contracts with several up-and-coming young artists, and a couple of major ones like Claude Viallat. The space was recently refurbed and is now a lot more contemporary. There’s a shop upstairs that might interest more serious collectors.
