Hg2 : The Hedonist

Mother’s Restaurant

What Mother’s lacks in class, it makes up for with better taste on the plate. The interior decoration follows the cafeteria style: linoleum floors and steam trays behind a sneeze guard. The staff is dependably surly. The draw? Good food, prepared in New Orleans style with lots of onions, garlic, gravies, and sauces. Po’ boys filled with Mother’s own ham, roast beef, or a combination of the two. The famous debris” sandwich is made with the edges of cooked meats. The hordes of tourists drive away the locals at lunch
