Museum of Miniature Books
A wonderful Bakuvian quirk, The Museum of Miniature Books does exactly what it says on the can and features the private collection of bibliophile Zarifa Salakhova’s 6,000 odd miniature books, published in over 60 countries and collected over more than two decades. In addition to the best-known names of Azeri literature – Nizami, Nasimi, Khagani et al – the collection also features works by great international writers, such as Shakespeare, Pushkin and Byron, as well as perhaps the world’s least convenient reference section of not exactly user-friendly dictionaries and the like.
