Necci dal 1924
As legend has it, Pasolini’s masterpiece ‘L’Accattone’ was shot at Necci dal 1924, and there’s no doubt that this is one of the few places to drink in Rome where you can so easily enjoy an aura of surrealism with your glass of wine. Decorated with original items from the early 20th century, to- day Necci is a pleasant wine bar and restaurant, offering a good selection of wine and food, including its own baked bread, pizzas and croissants, as well as the chance to meet chatty local characters. In the morning, retired men in their eighties lazily play cards, read the newspaper and recall the old days with a touch of nostalgia, while the evening attracts a more hip clientele, especially during the hot summer months when the action moves to the large tables in the garden.
