Nirvana Bar offers a truly heavenly setting with a Zen-like ambience. Although quite large, the soft, subdued lighting and the flickering candles create an intimate, convivial atmosphere. The friendly staff leads drinkers through the bar and into the main hall, where small buddhas and sculptures of meditating hands lure you to another religion in another continent. This bar-cum-restaurant is where drinkers can line their stomachs – or indeed, soak up the booze – with a menu of delicious Asian-inspired fare, or simply to lounge and loll in comfy, sofa-style seating. The only drawback here is that it can be slightly empty, but on the flip-side you’re almost guaranteed privacy.
