The rooftop swimming pool at the Orchid Hotel has good views over the Mumbai skyline and is perfect on scorchingly hot days, though best avoided altogether during monsoon season. The bar – somewhat confusingly referred to as the ‘Moody Magician Merlin Bombay Bar’ – can turn into a karaoke saloon with very little notice, and is open until 3am except on Mondays.
