Hg2 : The Hedonist

Orto Botanico

Its origins lie in the medicinal gardens kept by Benedictine monks in the 11th century. The gardens have been the responsibility of La Sapienza University since 1514 and remain an educational resource today. A variety of wild and exotic species make it an enjoyable spot for sunbathing or for simply escaping from the traffic and chaos, and the monumental crumbling staircase and palm trees lend it a sense of faded grandeur.
