Ottenthal
Ottenthal is a meticulous Austrian restaurant in Berlin with head chef Arthur Schneller’s hand-rolled noodles and pastries second to none. The products shipped in from his home town of Ottenthal, the Austrian food he offers at this smart Charlottenburg eaterie is outstanding and though famed for its Wiener Schnitzel, Ottenthal’s menu has a lot more to offer. There’s foie gras with fig, home-made lamb sausages and even a decent spread of vegetarian dishes. The wine list is equally impressive: 250 vintages representing 16 different Austrian wine regions (which are also for sale at the in-house wine shop). Successfully straddling the classic and modern, Ottenthal is a memorable choice for pretty much every occasion.
