Confusingly Pacha is one of the coolest hotels in Marrakech but is also famous for being its most notorious nightclub. In fact it’s more a complex than just a club, with an acclaimed restaurant, chill out bar and large pool – and the owners have now added the hotel in the hope of creating the ultimate weekend clubbing experience. Reception at Pacha Hotel is a dark, tall-ceilinged space with ‘artful’ wall-projections – a flight of stairs leads up to the eleven duplex suites, which bear individualised room numbers like 333, 007 etc. The suites at Pacha Hotel are large – from 650 to 1,080 sq ft – and feature terraces that look over the Atlas and/or the neighbouring Agdal area. The white and grey interiors are a little clinical but perhaps fitting for a hip hotel – as are the fashion photographs of topless women and surfeit of mirrors. There’s a minibar, wifi, TV/Internet combinations and sexy marble bathrooms and the royal suite comes with in-suite private pool, bar and fireplace. A stay here naturally grants you free access to the club and the pool, which is just as well since the prices are on the steep side.
