Fine dining in a Berlin restaurant which is set in a car parking lot, Parc Fermé may not exactly sound appealing, but when that lot happens to be the exclusive Meilenwerk it’s a very different story. Four-wheeled fanatics store their vehicles (from vintage cars to Lamborghinis) in this huge factory-like building. Parc Fermé is housed at the far end of the Meilenwerk block and has a separate external entrance. There are only five tables available (each one decorated with a model car), so booking is essential. The menu is classic fine dining, supported by an extraordinary list of wines. Unlike the industrial building, Parc Fermé is a warm and inviting space, but even a vast array of pot plants fails to detract from the sometimes overpowering aroma of diesel, which occasionally seeps in. Still, for some it’s heavenly and car enthusiasts will be only too eager to skip dessert for a tour of the building. Located away from the centre Parc Fermé is reachable by car or taxi and you can always try and borrow something special for the return trip.“
