Hg2 : The Hedonist

Paris-Moskau has become a true classic Berlin restaurant. Rapid urban development has brought this top class restaurant right into the centre of the town, just a few minutes’ walk away from the Central Station, Chancellery, Reichstag and Brandenburg Gate despite once considered a gastronomic insider-tip for gourmet-freaks in the no-man’s-land close to The Wall. Lying not far from railway lines, the timber building dates back to 1898, when the train from Paris to Moscow still passed by. The Russian constructivist interior is tasteful and intimate, with limited table space making it feel more exclusive. Despite being a stickler for tradition, Paris-Moskau has a modern feel inspired by the young and energetic staff. The regional German kitchen emphasizes the quality of the ingredients, something the older gourmet clientele, who return time and time again, appreciate.
