Hg2 : The Hedonist

Park Hyatt

The Park Hyatt has an enviable New York address. Just two blocks over from Central Park and opposite Carnegie Hall, there’s a certain elegance at work here. Classical music from Carnegie is played underwater in their ridiculously sleek indoor heated pool. And the art on the walls has been curated by none other the MoMA, itself only a short stroll from the Park Hyatt’s front doors.

But what else would you expect from a global hotel positioned on so-called “billionaire’s row”? The 210 rooms, 92 of which are suites, put guests right in the thick of Midtown. But the rooms themselves are designed to make you want to stay in and put your feet up; luxe Italian linens, deep-soaking marble baths (and Le Labo bath products), and the aforementioned museum-quality artwork on the walls. With all that, why would you need to leave? In the suites, the interiors get even more lavish, with furnishings curated by design firm, Yabu Pushelberg. And the Ambassador and Presidential Suites are stunning – essentially offering guests the chance to imagine themselves in their very own stylish Manhattan apartment for a spell.

Continuing the enticing offerings, Park Hyatt has a world-class spa and a handful of drinking and dining options. The Living Room is the place for craft cocktails and light bites, while Bevy restaurant, in the capable hands of chef Chad Brauz, is the place for refined seasonal fare.
