Pékin Fine Arts
Pékin Fine Arts established itself in Caochangdi in 2005 with 600sqm of exhibition space designed by Ai Wei Wei. Founded by Meg Maggio, who has been involved in Beijing’s art community for twenty years and was instrumental in the success of the CourtYard Gallery, Pékin Fine Arts works with innovative contemporary artists from across Asia. Among these is the critically acclaimed photography of Chinese female artist Zhang O who challenges preconceived notions of Chinese femininity. The gallery also hosted the first Beijing solo exhibition of eminent Hong Kong artist Tsang Kin-Wah who is known for his floral patterns of profanity.
