Pho Grand

When the name of dish is in the title of a restaurant, it had better be pretty darned good. And while it might not look like much from the outside, with its ho-hum cranberry awning and glass-and-wood paned front door, Pho Grand gives all that it promises.

The star dish – a big, big bowl of steaming anise-tinged beef broth with noodles and a multitude of add-on options of everything from chicken to beef tendon (try it, really; its great) – is sure to warm you in a way that gives grandma’s chicken soup a big, fat run for its money.

But don’t just take our word for it – both Jean George’s Johnny Iuzzini and chef Alex Raij picked Pho Grand as their go-to spot for a hale and hearty way to eat on the fly or eat on your own.
